A Beautiful Day
As the sun opens up and begins to rule the morning,
It sheds its light over our crumpled sheets,
Waking me to yet another day with you,
As these morning’s are the ones that I most treasure,
That crooked smile, and your cold feet, it’s the only thing that you wear,
I stretch, and begin to untwine myself from you,
Your body’s so warm and the soft aroma of desire, still lingers in the early air,
Leaning forward, I kiss your brow as you awaken with me, as we both share a smile,
I shed these sheets and make the coffee, as the kettle lets go its whistle,
Returning to the bedroom, I present you with our brew,
You let loose your smile that ‘lights up my room’ and indeed my very world,
For I now know that deep inside ‘everything’s going to be ok’
Whatever the day will bring,
As whenever I’m with you “it’s truly a beautiful day”
It sheds its light over our crumpled sheets,
Waking me to yet another day with you,
As these morning’s are the ones that I most treasure,
That crooked smile, and your cold feet, it’s the only thing that you wear,
I stretch, and begin to untwine myself from you,
Your body’s so warm and the soft aroma of desire, still lingers in the early air,
Leaning forward, I kiss your brow as you awaken with me, as we both share a smile,
I shed these sheets and make the coffee, as the kettle lets go its whistle,
Returning to the bedroom, I present you with our brew,
You let loose your smile that ‘lights up my room’ and indeed my very world,
For I now know that deep inside ‘everything’s going to be ok’
Whatever the day will bring,
As whenever I’m with you “it’s truly a beautiful day”
